Using a laptop as router/firewall for home network

Posted by: Julien @ 1:25 pm

I had this idea last night: I will use my old Compaq Armada e500 laptop as a router/firewall for my home network.

This has many advantages compared to the old workstation I am currently using: a laptop is more quiet, takes less room, has a screen and a keyboard etc.

I will have to buy 2 PCMCIA ethernet cards to achieve this.
