New dspam backports

Posted by: Julien @ 1:50 pm

I have uploaded new dspam packages backported for Sarge. As the previous uploads, they include two patches: the first
desactivates a control preventing sources tracking if the number of innocent messages is <2500 (I simply do not understand this control), the second allows dspam to send virus notifications to syslog when tracksources is on (and adds a ‘virus’ sources tracking target that can be changed in dspam.conf) - useful if you use tolls such as mailgraph and would like to track incoming infected messages (note that patched mailgraph package is also available in my repository).

I will fill some wishlist bug reports against dspam so that Debian maintainers may include them in their next upload, or even submit them to upstream authors. I also have to write an article on www.kirya.net to explain my mail server setup.
